ISIS mobile wallet is a new mobile payment system supported by three major carriers, AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile. ISIS mobile wallet is the new rival to Google’s own Wallet mobile payment. It was scheduled to launch publicly in September but due to certain technical issues the launch has been pushed to October 22nd, states a leaked memo reported by TmoNews.

ISIS will now be launching on the above said date in two cities Salt Lake City, Utah and Austin, Texas. Other details were also revealed by the meo that included the extra features and usage of the payment system. In order to use the mobile payment system you’ll have to get an ISIS Sim card of any carrier of your choice (given that it supports ISIS) that contains an NFC chip.

Other perks include a $10 bonus for customers when they first activate this service and an extra $15 when they convert their ISIS cash card to a reloadable prepaid card. This bonus has been confirmed by only T-Mobile and Verizon so far but we’re certain that AT&T will have something similar to offer their customers as well.

You’ll be able to use Isis Mobile Wallet at merchants that accept Visa PayWave, MasterCard PayPass, Discover Zip, American Express, and Google Wallet. So, you don’t have to worry about the availability of the system, just pay with it wherever any of the above mentioned services are supported.

What do you think about the ISIS mobile payment system? Do you think people would actually prefer to buy a special sim just to use this service? Let us know what you think.
